God has called us as kings and priests to pray for our nations. In 1 Pet.2:9 we are described as a A ROYAL PRIESTHOOD to PROCLAIM the excellencies of Him who called you out of darkness into his marvellous light. When God called Jeremiah, He gave him very specific instructions: Jer.1:10 See, I have set you this day over nations and over kingdoms, to PLUCK UP and to BREAK DOWN, to DESTROY and to OVERTHROW, to BUILD and to PLANT. All these aspects should be part of our prayer for our nation.
